Globally Minded Works
is looking for people to help us accomplish a
myriad of tasks to help the Guatemalan people. If
you are willing and committed, we welcome your arms
and legs to do great works in Guatemala and for the
people of Guatemala.
SHORT-TERM MISSIONS TRIP
If you are an individual, or college, work or church group interested in coming down for a short-term project, we can design a project for you and or your team. For example: help to build a school or bathroom, paint a school, bring school supplies and other donations as part of your carry-on, and other.
Your trip can also incorporate day trips to Chichicastenango, Tikal, and/or Antigua. In addition, activities around Lake Atitlan can be included in your missions trip, like zip lining, swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, mountain bikling, climbing a volcano, visiting a nature preserve, shopping, and more.
Are you interested in volunteering with us? Fill out our initial online questions here.
DETAILS
Independent travelers and volunteers are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel expenses to and from Guatemala, as well as their living expenses during one's stay. There is no fee to volunteer with Globally Minded Works, so cost is dependant on the travel and living arrangements of each volunteer. We encourage volunteers to familiarize themselves with Guatemala through resources like the consular information sheet and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, so the trip and independent living are comfortable for them.
