Kat
Vaughan (MBA) traveled to Guatemala
for
the first time in 1998 for a two week
adventurous vacation from her job in Sales and
Marketing at Fair, Isaac.
Upon landing in Guatemala, Kat had an
inexpressible sense that she was at home in this
foreign land. Immediately burdened by the plight
of the Mayan women and children in Guatemala,
Kat committed to helping the Mayans of Guatemala
through education and business.
Eventually, Kat founded Globally Minded, a fair trade jewelry business supporting artisans in Guatemala.
Globally Minded Works was founded by Kat Vaughan in 2007.
